From the Archives

Way back in the 90s, over the course of seven spots for Orange mobile UK, we were held to the same simple brief: we could do anything we wanted with the scripts, so long as it was orange and black…

 

Creative duo Tim Robertson & Steve Little of Ad agency WCRS dreamt up this award-winning campaign to promote the campaign message of ‘superior coverage’. The spots were individually directed & designed variously by Marc Craste, Philip Hunt, Dominic Griffiths, Mic Graves, Ashley Potter & Dave Antrobus – all to great effect.

Each Ad has its own unique and creative art style to it with great animation to support it, with Larry Sticklegs from HILLS getting a return appearance in FREEWHEELER. We worked with some great talent on the campaign— including the voice talents of Paul Vaughan, Rob Brydan, and Hywel Bennett—and they’re still great fun to watch after all these years. We love them and they feel fresh as a Marigold.
