Paper Box is an intriguing object designed by Graphic Thought Facility for Fedrigoni.
The box contains the entire collection of papers available from the historic Italian paper manufacturer. Studio aka was commissioned to both communicate the function of the box and its contents, as well as promote it. The resulting film unpacks the box. Each of its three volumes expands to reveal endless tone, texture, colour, and sound.
David Pape’s sound design uses foley recordings of the object itself to build a percussive score that feels authentic and playful.
“GTF have done a fantastic job designing something simple yet fun and inviting, so the process of creating this film was a joy – because it was all about playing with a desirable object and exploring it on behalf of the viewer.”
“Paper Box is as simple as possible, but no simpler!”
