For the film SHERLOCK GNOMES, we were approached by Paramount Pictures and MGM to create two animated inserts and a whopping eight-minute animated credit sequence.
Sherlock Gnomes (Dir. John Stevenson, 2018) is a tongue & cheek homage to the classic British Sherlock Holmes novels by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, here transposed to modern-day London and seen through the eyes of, yes, you already guessed it; Garden Gnomes.

In this most elementary adventure, our tiny heroes Gnomeo and Juliet, team up with the gnome versions of Sherlock and Watson to solve the case of their missing pint-sized friends and family. This action-packed sequel features the voices of returning cast, James McAvoy, Emily Blunt, Michael Caine, Maggie Smith, Stephen Merchant and Ozzy Osbourne, plus Johnny Depp as Sherlock Gnomes, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Watson and Mary J. Blige as Irene.
The gnome-filled End Credits were designed and co-directed by Eamonn O’Neill and Kristian Andrews. A dedicated team of animators at Studio AKA were tasked with adding a little gnome and a tiny bit of drama to every name of the crew, in itself gnome mean feat (sorry).
In addition – two ‘gleefully slapdash’ animated inserts that feature in the film have also been artfully directed by Kristian Andrews. We’ll post these when we can.
